Silence is Golden

Isn’t it amazing how when your heart is hushed before God, the silence comes alive with His Voice?

Yesterday afternoon I spent an hour just relaxing outside.  Eyes open, ears listening, mouth and mind silent.  Silence…come alive with my God.  I was surrounded by His creation, praising His Name.  Locusts’ song, birds’ sweet calls, squirrels’ chatter.  Leaves dancing in the breeze, puffy clouds strolling lazy across blue, blue sky.Image

“But now in Christ Jesus, you who once were so far away, through the blood of Christ have been brought near.” Ephesians 2:13 AMP

Brought near…near where? To my Savior.  What more could I ask for than to be near to a holy, majestic, tender-loving God?  My heart sings that I am a daughter of the Star-breather.  I belong to the Creator of Light.  I am adopted by the King.  I am washed clean and have the Power (the same Power that raised Christ from the dead- THAT Power!) living in me!ImageAnd as I worship Him in silence, His Love pours over me in waves of sweet delight.  His Love lights my life in the darkest sorrow, in the deepest pain.  It sparkles, it shines, it cleanses…and I sit, drinking in the golden silence.Image
