Hugged By God- Part 2

I am loving my day off.  I have nothing planned where I need to leave my cozy house.  I have a list of “house-wifey” things to do- laundry, clean out the fridge, sew…but I have all day to do it.  Love it!

Life has been so busy lately.  But it’s been a good busy.  Here a few pictures that sum up the past few weeks…

A Sunday afternoon hiking with my sweetheart…

A gift basket from family…just because. 🙂

A bonfire/s’mores party with my friends…

A day spent down at Mom with my sisters, brother, nieces and nephew.  I smile every time I see this picture…

ImageA fun, random shopping trip with Jay…:)

Gifts!  A hand painted Russian nesting doll from an older couple who just came back from Russia, and some flowers and cupcakes from my sister-in-laws…

And an awesome weekend at the cabin with Jay’s family…

Image  My life is filled with so many good things.  On the way up to the mountains, I was telling Jay how I am so at peace with where we are.  Even though I have a mother-heart beating inside me, I love how God fulfills that need with areas that I wouldn’t have thought possible.  I used to think that in order for my life to be complete, I’d need to be a wife AND a mother.  But God is showing me otherwise.  I love that I have the time to be with family and friends.  I love that I can spend hours with God, uninterrupted.  I love mothering nieces, nephews and my friends’ children.  I love all the time that Jay and I can spend together.  I love the way infertility has changed our relationship.  But mostly, I love how it’s changed my relationship with God.  And that’s what matters the most.

“What, what would have become of me had I not believed that I would see the Lord’s goodness in the land of the living!  Wait and hope for and expect the Lord; be brave and of good courage and let your heart be stout and enduring.  Yes, wait for and hope for and expect the Lord.” Psalm 27:13-14 AMP
